Sunday 29th March

Any ducks species other than the ubiquitous  Mallard are always a welcome site. Today there were a pair of Northern Shoveler, three Gadwall, and a male Tufted Duck.

My first Swallows were around fifteen on the 23rd March, and included a bonus Eurasian Crag Martin. Today numbers were up to around sixty birds.

Highlight of the day for me, however, was a fly-over Yellow Wagtail. I love picking things up on call, it's really satifying. Other birds today included a Peregrine, three Egyptian Geese, a Yellow-legged Gull, and a Goldfinch. So that's my first ever blog post. It's pretty basic I must admit, Just wanted to get something up and work it out as I go along.
